Enrico Miotto

Enrico Miotto was born in Rovigo, Italy, in 2000. He received his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in Information Engineering from Università degli studi di Padova in 2022. He moved to Politecnico di Torino to attend the master’s degree in Communications Engineering, specializing in optical fiber communications. He graduated summa cum laude in 2024, with a thesis entitled: “Enhancing Digital Twin Transmission Model to Enable Optical Network Infrastructure as a Service”.

Since November 2024, he has been a Ph.D. candidate at Politecnico di Torino in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering in the PLANET team, within the OptCom research group. His research activity concerns mathematical and physical modeling applied to optical communications.

Enrico is an active competitive chess player, of 1N category, participating in national and international chess tournaments. He also enjoys literature and mountain hiking.
